Lessons Learned

When I was about ten my cousin Josh was killed in a car wreck. He had been drinking and he was taking his older brother out to my house to fix a flat tier. He dropped him off and was heading back to town. He was driving a little to fast on the dirt road. He hit a large rock and lost control of the truck and flipped several times. Ever since I have never wanted to drink because I have seen what it can do to a family when you are drinking and driving. On top of that it just makes you do stuff that you usually wouldn't do and it you think way different that normal. Drinking is just bad for you and I realized that when I lost Josh.

comma what?

My father had left our house in the midst of a fight, between Lindsey and my mother. My mother was trying to get Lindsey to go with her to the Y to swim. Without thinking Lindsey had blared, "I'd rather die!", at the top of her lungs. My father watched as my mother froze then, burst fleeing to their bedroom to wail behind the door. He quietly tucked his notebook in his jacket pocket took the car keys off the hook, by the back door, and snuck out.

Story Spinners:Option 3

As I regained consciousness, I remember asking where am I and what happened to me. Those questions were quietly answered by my friends that had just found me. All that i could remember about what had happened to me was headlights coming at me then everything went black. All my friends were very worried about me they said that I needed to go to the hospital I continued telling them that I was fine they continued to say don't be stubborn. I soon realized that I wasn't fine I could burly stand up on my own.

I know that there was no way that I was going to be able to ride at the rodeo that weekend if I didn't go to the hospital so I told my friends to take me but. I didn't remember much of the car ride I was hurting so bad that I was fainting a lot. I remember entering the vestibule in the front of the hospital but after that I don't really know what happened. When I woke up the doctors were trying to find out what was going on and what happened to me. All of my friends were blaming themselves for not being with me when I got hit by the car. It was no ones fault the car came up on the sidewalk.

When the car hit me it sent me flying I landed in the ally and that's where my friends found me. There were so many people around when the car hit me. No one saw where i landed so everyone thought that maybe they had just thought that they had seen a person standing there but they didn't see anyone now so they continued on with there lives. when i came out of surgery the cops where wanting to talk to me they had found the guy that had hit me he felt bad now but at the time he didn't care.

remembering 9/11

I was in choir with Ms. berg we watched it on TV I was so scared. My biggest worry was that they were going to hit my little town. all I can remember is all the older kids were crying and were really scared because they under stood what was going on thin the world at that time i was just starting to understand that there was a world larger that my little town . I believe that in twenty years we will still be looking back asking the same things that we are now. I had a family friend that worked in the twin towers she was six months pregnant her and her sister were killed in the attack. It killed her husband to find out that his wife and first baby were killed in the attack. If I was to write a story about 9/11 I would write it from my point of view at the time that it happened to tell the world how it effected the kids that watched it on TV.
